After watching the debate tonight and hearing the term Maverick from Palin all night I figured I would take a look and see what information I could dig up about Mavericks.

• Mega Man - A character from Mega Man X
• Wiktionary - an unbranded range animal. One who does not abide by the rules.

hmmm none of those look too good. How about dictionary.com.

• an unbranded cow.

• a lone dissenter taking an independent stand (she must be shooting for this one :))
